Metaltech Precision is a British manufacturing company offering a wide range of high-precision turning and milling capabilities from its extensive base in Chard, Somerset. Metaltech and its sister companies in Expromet Technologies Group provide complementary advanced precision casting and machining solutions to customers on a global basis.
Metaltech offers high quality precision CNC machined components and fabrications used within demanding markets such as the energy, scientific instruments, pump and valve, aerospace, defence, rail and marine industries. We specialise in exotic materials such as Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, Titanium and Duplex, and deliver an end-to-end manufacturing service.

Fabrication
Our 25-tonne over-head cranage enables Metaltech to offer a one-stop-shop for your fabricated, machined, shot-blasted and painted components and assemblies. We are capable of fabricating parts in plates sizes from 6mm to 100mm thick; with a total envelope size of up to 3m x 3m x 10m; and a maximum weight of 25 tonnes.

We have a 50,000 square foot facility in Chard, Somerset housing the extensive plant which helps to keep us at the forefront of UK Precision Engineering.
In addition, we have invested in an on-site purpose-built solar farm to ensure that our extensive factory is sustainable. Our 2300-panel farm provides renewable self-sufficiency to our factory for much of the year.
Metaltech has a proud history dating back almost 50 years and now employs over 70 staff. We take pride in our culture of investing in people and are committed to training and developing our team so that our customers always receive friendly, expert help.
Expromet Technologies Group
Metaltech is part of privately-owned precision engineering group Expromet Technologies Group, which also owns Investacast – a leading global supplier of investment castings, pressure die castings and forgings with a manufacturing base in Ilfracombe in Devon and a network of supply chain partners throughout the world; and Haworth Castings – a specialist in manufacturing fully-tested, machined and finished sand and gravity die castings, located in Romsey and Basingstoke in Hampshire.

Our extensive investment in turning and milling machinery and equipment enables us to be competitive on virtually any batch size and in any material – we are as comfortable with a 5-tonne fabrication as we are with a batch of high-precision 3mm diameter parts machined on our sliding heads.
