Strengthening digital resilience across critical supply chains

Metaltech Precision is committed to safeguarding customer and business data, strengthening digital resilience, and reducing the risk of cyber incidents that could disrupt or compromise customer projects – especially for key sectors such as defence and aerospace. We are therefore proud to have achieved Cyber Essentials CE certification in cyber security:

Metaltech achieves Cyber Essentials Certification

For companies working within Ministry of Defence (MOD) frameworks or Tier 1 OEM supply chains, Cyber Essentials is often a minimum compliance requirement—and increasingly a pre-qualification condition in procurement portals and tenders.

UK Government-backed Cyber Essentials certification

Cyber Essentials certification is a UK government-backed scheme designed to help organisations achieve a baseline level of protection against common online threats. The certification is managed by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and focuses on five core technical controls: firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection, and patch management. These controls are specifically chosen to address the most prevalent internet-based cyber threats.

Why cyber security matters

Cyber Essentials Certification is valuable to Metaltech Precision customers because it underlines our commitment to:

  • Enhanced Data Protection: Customers can trust that their sensitive information—such as design files, contracts, and payment details—is protected by robust security measures, reducing the risk of data breaches and cyberattacks.
  • Supply chain security: Many organisations, including government agencies and larger defence and aerospace manufacturers, require suppliers to have Cyber Essentials certification to ensure the security of the entire supply chain.
  • Regulatory compliance and trust: The certification aligns with data protection regulations such as GDPR, providing reassurance that your data is handled responsibly.
  • Reduced risk of disruption: By implementing the five controls, Metaltech Precision reduces the risk of cyber incidents that could disrupt production or compromise our customers’ projects.
