Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter to join our skilled manufacturing team. You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes and mill-turn machines, producing complex precision-engineered components to demanding quality and tolerance requirements while supporting continuous improvement across production.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set and operate CNC turning centres using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls.
- Manufacture complex components on 2-axis, multi-axis and mill-turn lathes.
- Interpret engineering drawings and manufacture components to tight tolerances.
- Select tooling and optimise programs to maximise quality and productivity.
- Machine a variety of materials including stainless steels, aluminium, titanium and exotic alloys.
- Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment in accordance with AS9100 requirements.
- Support Lean/6S initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum five years’ experience in a CNC Turning / Programmer / Setter role.
- Strong CNC programming, setting and process optimisation skills.
- Experience in Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Automotive or other high-precision manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T and precision measurement.
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.
- Proactive, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable
- Offline programming experience (Mastercam, Edgecam or Fusion 360).
- Experience with continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing.
