Christmas draw raises money for Charity
A draw which took place at the works Christmas party raised 174.00 for St. Margarets Hospice.
Commando Challenge 2011
A team of 5 have successfully completed the 10k Commando Challenge raising 337.00 for The Devon Air Ambulance Trust.
August 2011 - New Daewoo TT1800SY
Due to an increase in customer demands the decision was made to purchase a new Daewoo TT1800SY Mill/Turn Centre bringing the total to 3 machines within the cell.
August 2011 - Increase in customer demand prompts factory re-structure
Metaltech have recently won further contracts to supply parts into the automotive industry. To meet customer demands, further investment has been neccessary where cellular manufacture along side additional machine tool investment has been introduced.
July 2011 - Installation of NEW Daewoo Mynx 7500
Metaltech have taken delivery of a new Daewoo Mynx 7500. The machine which has been supplied by Mills Manufacturing is a welcome addition to Metaltech's already well equippped milling section. The machine boasts a 1600 x 750mm bed, 12,000 spindle speed & 30 tools.
June 2011 - Installation of Tesa Scan
Metaltech have taken delivery of a new Tesa Scan 52. The machine will ensure efficient and accurate measuring of spindles for the automotive industry.
TESA-SCAN 52 Reflex-Click is the new machine for round part measurement developed by TESA.
March 2011 - Metaltech post best monthly sales figures for 2 years
Metaltech have just posted a healthy 47% increase in sales for the month of March. Sales manager Andy Riste 'This has been our best month for nearly 2 years and marks a reward for all the hard work put in by the whole team here at Metaltech. With a strong order book, we remain positive that UK manufacturing will continue to thrive'.

Aug 2010 - Installation of Mazak 5-axis machining centre
Metaltech have taken delivery of a Mazak VTC-800/30 SR 5-axis machining centre. This investment is a much needed addition to our CNC milling capabilities.The machine will cut our manufacturing lead times through reducing the number of operations required, particularly on some of the casting work that we undertake. It should also allow us to be more competitive and remain at the forefront of sub-contract engineering.
April 2010 - Completion of office and machinery move
With our 47,000 sq/ft machine shop full to capacity, the decision was made to acquire a vacant adjoining building. This now gives us an additional 8,000 sq/ft which will be used to house our high-tech machine tools. Additional office space has also been utilised.
