April 2010 - Completion of office and machinery move. |
With our 47,000 ft² machine shop full to capacity, the decision was made to acquire a vacant adjoining building. This now gives us an additional 8,000 ft² which will be used to house our high-tech machine tools. Additional office space has also been utilised.

Metaltech have taken delivery of a Mazak VTC-800/30 SR 5-axis machining centre. This investment is a much needed addition to our CNC milling capabilities.
Due to an increase in customer demand Metaltech have taken the decision to introduce their first Miyano machine. Business Development Manager Andy Riste comments “ We had identified that we were lacking capacity between our sliding head lathes and larger bar-feed machines. The Ø42mm Miyano fits the bill perfectly!
Due to customer demands a second machine has been added to our turning section
Delivery of new Citizen A20-V11 Sliding Head Lathe, supplied by Citizen Machinery UK Ltd.
Delivery of 2 Mazak Intergrex 200-IV Mill/Turn Centres.
Delivery of NEW AXIOM TOO CNC Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) supplied by Aberlink Ltd. This is to be housed in our NEW temperature-controlled inspection department.
Metaltech have just returned from exhibiting at the 'Southern Manufacturing' trade show which was held at Farnborough, Hampshire. Business Development manager Andy Riste reported on a well attended show which attracted a large number of key decision makers throughout the industry.
