SYSPRO ERP
K3 Business Technology Group (K3) has won a contract to supply a fully integrated SYSPRO ERP solution to Metaltech Precision, Chard Junction, Somerset. The £multi-million turnover organisation is the largest and most flexible sub-contract manufacturing company in south-west England and serves the pump, petrochemical rail, automotive, valve and tobacco industry. The new solution replaces Metaltech's spreadsheet-based manual system and will improve visibility, eradicate duplicated data and effort, and boost efficiency for the growing company. With SYSPRO Metaltech expects to save at least 25 per cent on its operational costs, improve delivery, and gain a clear picture of its inventories.
"I expect SYSPRO to double our efficiencies. The new system will stop duplication of effort as well as integrate all of our information into a unified resource, which will give us incredible visibility across the entire business. We shall be able to increase our available time on value-added activity and drive out unnecessary costs, including those associated with our current inventory. SYSPRO gives us all the functions and flexibility we need to take our business forward," said Paul Smith, Project Manager, Metaltech Precision.
The new SYSPRO solution from K3 will be implemented in two phases and will support Metaltech's quality standards improvement programme. Phase one will include SYSPRO Manufacturing and Accounting modules, with the addition of Time & Attendance, Touch Screen Shop Floor Data Capture and Advanced Planning £ Scheduling in phase two. The entire system will go live at the end of the third quarter 2009.
"We are confident that SYSPRO will support every area of our business. The K3 team has listened to our needs and understand exactly what we aim to achieve. We are growing rapidly and have embarked on a quality standard programme as a Gold level approved supplier to one of our major customers. SYSPRO will help us achieve this as well as helping us to achieve across the board on-time delivery to all our clients. We are excited about the prospects of using moving over to this fully automated system and have a clear vision of where it will take us," concluded Paul Smith.
